在宜興，

一種技藝，傳承千年

In Yixing, a craft has been passed down from generation to generation。

將泥土與辛勞、智慧和東方的生活美學(xué)，

通過魔法般地創(chuàng)造出一種神奇事物，

那就是紫砂壺技藝

It injects wisdom, ingenuity, and oriental aesthetics into the earth, magically creating an amazing vessel, Zisha teapot。

The making of Zisha teapot takes several steps: knock, clap, stick, close。

The biggest secret of the purple clay teapot is in the mineral materials that are ground into fine powder。

天時地利的造化，

讓這座山中蘊藏著紫砂壺的原料——紫砂礦

Huanglong Mountain, Dingshu Town。

Thanks to Nature’s gift, the hill boasts the raw materials of the Zisha teapot - the purple clay mine。

砂料中的鐵含量，

決定了紫砂最終燒制的顏色和質(zhì)地

The iron content in the minerals determines the final color and texture of the purple clay。

選好了礦料，

還要經(jīng)過磨、篩、和三道工序，

才能變成做壺的紫砂泥

After selection, qualified mineral materials have to go through three processes of grinding, sieving, and drying before being turned into purple clay for teapots。

壺蓋落身，嚴(yán)絲合縫

一瞬間，一把紫砂壺的雛形就誕生于世

The teapot body made by Master Xu has been formed, with the perfect match of the lid in size。

In an instant, the prototype of a Zisha teapot is born。

古南街，是紫砂壺界的大師搖籃

這條古街上生活居住了數(shù)十位大師，

紫砂界的泰斗顧景舟就誕生于此

In China, Gunan street is the cradle of Zisha masters。

Several Zisha craft masters were born on this ancient street, including Gu Jingzhou。

他的作品骨脈凝神、表面純凈、氣韻飽滿，

開啟了紫砂界的一個新時代

His works are full of vitality and artistic appeal in simple and pure appearance, has ushered in a new era in the Zisha world。

On the other side of Dingshu Town, master Zhang is demonstrating the technique of twisting clay。

Twisting clay has unique artistry。

他將幾種不同顏色的紫砂泥，

經(jīng)過反復(fù)揉搓、疊加、擠壓形成云紋，

最終幻彩的云紋成為壺身的一部分

看似簡約，卻又從中透著蒼勁與美感，

這是獨特的東方美學(xué)

Master Zhang rubs, stacks, and squeezes Zisha clay of several different colors repeatedly to form cloud patterns, finally, the multicolored cloud pattern becomes a part of the teapot body。

Simple, but full of vigor and beauty, this is unique oriental aesthetics。

花器，是紫砂壺中的一大分支

通過匠人的巧思，

世間萬物幾乎都可以化入壺身

這是紫砂壺制作工藝中，雕塑的技藝

Decorated teapot, also called Huaqi, is a major branch of the Zisha teapot。

Through the ingenuity of the craftsman, almost everything in the world can be integrated into the teapot body。

The art of sculpture is applied in the making of Zisha teapot。

In a split second, a summer cicada comes into view, vivid and lifelike。

古老的窯爐自下而上，攀山而行，

像一頭熟睡的臥龍，

龍窯之名，由此得來

The to-be-finished Zisha teapot requires the last process - fire。

The ancient kiln climbs the mountain from bottom to top, like a crouching dragon in sleep, hence, the name of the dragon kiln。

但是伴隨著歲月進程，

燒窯的技術(shù)也被現(xiàn)代化賦予了新的語法

高效精準(zhǔn)的電窯和煤氣窯逐步替代了龍窯

But modernization advances the technology of kiln firing。

Electric kilns and gas kilns, more efficient and precise, have gradually replaced traditional dragon kilns。

紫砂壺們在1200度高溫下沐火而坐，

無數(shù)的鐵原子經(jīng)過高溫游離，

神奇地均勻分布在壺體的每一處

Zisha teapots sit in the fire at a temperature of 1,200 degrees Celsius, the mica and quartz in the mineral deposits are porcelained, and countless iron atoms, dissociated at high temperature, are miraculously evenly distributed in every part of the teapot body。

歷經(jīng)歲月與汗水，

大師們給這東方泥土澆筑了層出不窮的“魔法”

這是進階的力量，也是智慧的造化

紫砂通過火，瑰麗地以多種形象展現(xiàn)在了世人面前

Through the years and sweat, the masters have poured endless stream of “magic” into this oriental clay。

This is the power of progression and the creation of wisdom。
